Wesson, MS (July 23, 2020) – According to the Copiah County Sheriff’s Office, a car crash on Thursday morning, July 23rd, claimed the life of a woman and left two children injured. Deputies say that the accident occurred on Timberlane Road at around 6:00 a.m.

Authorities have confirmed that a woman identified as Kimberly Waits, 36, was traveling on Timberlane Road in an unspecified vehicle when she was involved in a crash. Police and paramedics responded to the scene where they pronounced Waits deceased and transported two children to a nearby hospital.

At this time, authorities have reported the children’s injuries as non-life-threatening. The cause of this incident remains under investigation as few details have been reported.
