Pedestrian Accidents in Mississippi

Vicksburg, MS - Boy Hit by Car Outside McDonalds on Iowa BlvdThose who stroll down the street have the same entitlement to the road as those who drive automobiles. Many automobiles, however, fail to look out for pedestrians, resulting in catastrophic accidents. Pedestrians are 1.5 times more likely than drivers to be killed in an automobile accident, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. In 2017, there were 5,977 pedestrian deaths in the United States, implying that a fatal pedestrian accident occurs once every 88 minutes. Pedestrian fatalities have continued to rise in recent years across the United States, despite an overall drop in automobile mortality. Mississippi has one of the country’s worst pedestrian death rates despite also having one of the lowest levels of pedestrian activity.

When a pedestrian collides with a car, they are at a significant disadvantage and are more likely to sustain life-threatening injuries, which contributes to a higher pedestrian death rate. Pedestrians, unlike passengers in automobiles, are exposed to the full force of a crash, with potentially deadly injuries. Many motorists fail to give pedestrians the right of way and fail to share the road, resulting in tragic accidents. After being hit by a careless automobile, a Mississippi pedestrian injury lawyer can assist you in recovering financial recompense for your injuries.

Despite the fact that few people expect to be significantly wounded in a Mississippi pedestrian accident, thousands of pedestrians are harmed each year around the country and seek assistance in securing legal compensation for their losses. Many people who have been hurt in an accident may not know how to seek compensation for their injuries, making it more difficult to file a personal injury claim. The attorneys at Germany Law Firm PLLC are dedicated to assisting you in obtaining the justice you deserve, which begins by holding the at-fault party accountable.
