Fatal Head-On Crashes in Mississippi
In the event of a head-on accident, the risk of fatal injuries is relatively high. These are some of the deadliest collisions on the road, with death rates as high as 58% in severe cases. Head-on collisions are responsible for more than 10% of all fatalities on the road each year but account for only 2% of all reported car accidents. The bulk of these collisions are caused by distracted or inattentive drivers who swerve into opposing traffic lanes without signaling their intentions. A driver who merges into opposing traffic runs the danger of colliding with another car.
In the United States, numerous rules, such as severe statutes of limitations and eligibility requirements, limit the ability to pursue a wrongful death claim.
