Sarah, MS – Fatal Accident on MS-3 in Quitman County

Sarah, MS (September 3, 2019) – Around 8:53 p.m. on September 2, the Mississippi Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a fatal accident that took place on MS-3.

At the time, police said that 20-year-old Timothy Jackson from Marks was traveling southbound on MS-3. Suddenly, one of his tires blew out and his vehicle went off the side of the road.

From there, it was confirmed that Jackson’s vehicle forcefully collided with a light pole. His passenger, 32-year-old Shenika Wright, was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision.

The accident remains under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
