Prentiss, MS (October 12, 2021) - On Saturday, October 9, two people died in the aftermath of a car accident in Prentiss.
The fatal crash took place at the intersection of US-13 and Whitesand Road. Local reports indicate that 40-year-old Suzette Pittman of Jackson was driving north in a 2006 Pontiac G5. At the same time, a 2010 Chevrolet Silverado was headed west.
The two vehicles collided at the intersection. Both Pittman and her passenger, 40-year-old Laderick Anderson of Byram, were killed in the collision. No further updates have been provided at this time.
An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
