Our thoughts are with the injured victim and their family at this time. We hope for a full recovery.

Pedestrian Accidents in Mississippi

Pontotoc, MS - Officer Injured in Crash at MS-15 & MS-41Despite having some of the lowest numbers of pedestrian travelers, Mississippi ranked among the three states with the highest pedestrian fatality rates. Data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration found that 48 pedestrians were killed in collisions across the state in 2011. Nearly 8% of traffic fatalities in Mississippi that year involved pedestrian accidents, considerably higher than the national average.

Pedestrians are at a serious disadvantage when involved in a crash with a motor vehicle and are more likely to suffer from life-threatening injuries. Unlike those traveling in passenger cars, pedestrians have little protection from the full impact of an accident, and the resulting injuries can be life-changing. Drivers are required to yield the right of way and share the road with pedestrians. A Mississippi pedestrian injury lawyer can help recover financial compensation for your injuries after being hit by a negligent driver.

Few people expect to be seriously injured in a Mississippi pedestrian accident, but thousands of pedestrians are injured across the state each year and require help to pursue legal compensation for their damages. Many injured parties are unsure of how to seek compensation for their injuries after an accident. The legal team at Germany Law PLLC is here to fight to ensure you receive the justice you deserve.
