Passenger Deaths in Mississippi
Passengers are in an unusual situation where Mississippi car accidents are concerned. An injured passenger is rarely responsible for the incident, however, this does not mean they are any less likely to sustain injuries during a crash.
Passengers are vulnerable to the very same injuries as drivers, including traumatic brain injuries and broken bones. Regardless of what caused the accident, it is most likely that someone other than the passenger is liable for their injuries.
In Mississippi, car insurance coverage is a requirement for every driver. In the event of a passenger-injury accident, this coverage is what will pay for any losses endured by a passenger or, in the event of a death, their surviving family members.
Generally, filing a claim against an insurance provider only produces a settlement offer so obscenely low, that it may not even cover your basic medical expenses. Anytime an insurance company makes an initial offer, you should speak with a skilled personal injury attorney in Mississippi before you accept it.
A free consultation with a passenger injury lawyer from Germany Law Firm, PLLC can provide you with a full understanding of the nuances of your claim, what medical bills to expect now and in the future, and the estimated value of your claim before you consent to a devalued settlement offer.
