Peppertown, MS (July 30, 2021) – Local officials were called to an automobile accident in Peppertown on Friday, July 30.

Medical personnel were seen on Interstate 22 EB near MS-178 at Exit 101 in Itawamba County, according to eyewitnesses. The accident was reported to law enforcement officials at around 8:19 a.m. that morning. Following the incident, many lanes on the highway were closed.

At least one of the parties involved suffered unreported injuries. The injured parties were provided aid by attending medical personnel.  Ambulances were present and those who required extra medical treatment were transferred to neighboring hospitals.
