Pascagoula, MS (July 24, 2020) – Authorities were dispatched to the scene of a fatal motel fire that claimed the life of one man on Thursday evening, July 23rd. The incident was reported at the King’s Inn Motel on U.S. 90 (Denny Avenue) in Pascagoula.
According to officials, a fire broke out in one of the rooms at approximately 6:45 p.m., and firefighters were quickly summoned to the scene. Crews worked to extinguish the flames and found the victim, identified only as a 29-year-old man, deceased inside the unit.
Investigators are working to establish the exact cause of the fire at this time. The identity of the victim will be released after the family is notified.
