Injury Accidents in Oxford
Out of every single passenger and driver across the entire United States, slightly more than 90% of them utilize their seat belts on a routine basis. Here in the state of Mississippi, however, the estimated seat belt usage rate has been calculated to fall at less than 78%. which places those who live in the Magnolia State at the bottom of the list of the states with the lowest percentage of seat belt use in the entire nation.
In Mississippi, in 2015, approximately 300 lives of those involved in vehicle collisions were spared by victim’s use of their seat belt. If all vehicle occupants in that same year had made the choice to buckle up, a further 125 lives could have been saved.
