Speeding-Related Crashes in Mississippi
Speed limitations on public roadways are there for a reason. Because accidents can happen at any time while a driver is on the road, they must give themselves plenty of time to react. The likelihood of a serious collision increases when you go beyond the posted speed limit. According to the Mississippi Office of Highway Safety, there were an average of 103 fatalities caused by speeding in the state over the previous five years.
