Mississippi Speeding-Related Crashes
On public roads, speed limits serve a purpose. Drivers must provide ample time to react because accidents can occur at any time while they are on the road. Going beyond the posted speed limit increases the risk of a serious collision. The Mississippi Office of Highway Safety reports that over the previous five years, the state as a whole experienced 103 fatalities due to speeding on average.
