Mississippi Reckless Driving Collisions
While there are many other types of reckless driving, drunk driving is particularly problematic in Mississippi. A serious auto accident might result from carelessness or negligence. According to the Mississippi Department of Transportation, drunk driving accounts for 18% of all traffic fatalities in the state. Mississippi is fourth in the country for the number of fatalities on the roads caused by alcohol.
There are several legal alternatives that you may not be aware of that you may pursue if you or your spouse have sustained a major injury as a consequence of being engaged in any type of accident that was brought on by the conduct of another person. Suing someone for personal injury is one of these choices.
It is crucial that you talk with an attorney after an automobile accident before consulting with the insurance provider for the party at fault. An insurance adjuster or investigator will probably go to the scene of an accident to gather information in an effort to reduce the insurance company's responsibility and perhaps hunt for methods to place the blame for the accident on you, even though you are hurt. Even when the adjuster or investigator is aware that you have been hurt, this nevertheless happens. The other driver could accuse you of contributing to the crash as well and invoke the doctrine of comparative negligence.
To protect their right to sue for damages, exercise their legal rights, and submit a claim for compensation if they were injured as a result of legal misbehavior, accident victims should speak with an Oxford personal injury attorney.
