Fatal Car Accidents in Oxford

Drivers who engage in reckless actions are more likely to cause serious car accidents. Each year, around 13,000 fatal car wrecks are caused by these careless drivers. This accounts for around one-third of all fatal accidents. Sadly, human error plays a role in nearly 90% of all Mississippi car accidents.

Data tracked by the Department of Transportation shows that over 700 people died in Mississippi car accidents in 2016. In addition to this, several thousand people endured severe and catastrophic injuries that will require thousands of dollars in medical procedures before they can begin to heal.

Irresponsible motorists who consciously decide to ignore the rules of the road are a threat to themselves and to those around them. In the past two decades, speeding alone has been responsible for about 34% of all crash fatalities.

In the United States, in 2017, speeding was the cause on record for 26% of all crash-related deaths.

If you are trying to recover your financial losses following a car accident, you will have to prove that the carelessness of another person was the direct cause of your injuries. This can be hard to accomplish alone, and a lot of road accident victims find themselves overcome by the technicalities involved in the personal injury legal process.
