Mississippi High-Speed Collisions
In 2020, speeding was a contributing factor in 29% of all road fatalities, resulting in the deaths of 11,258 individuals. This is an average of almost 30 deaths each day. There were 10,136 traffic accidents that resulted in fatalities and were caused by drivers going above the speed limit. If the driver was charged with a speeding-related violation or if racing, driving too fast for conditions, or exceeding the legal speed limit was noted as a contributing cause in the incident, then the accident is regarded to be speeding-related.
The use of motor vehicles has become an essential component of modern life. Even if automobiles make it possible for us to be more productive than ever before, they are not risk-free. Accidents caused by motor vehicles are unfortunately becoming more common in all states, including Mississippi, as a direct result of rising automobile ownership and use rates.
