Car Accidents in Mississippi
In 2020, there were 38,000 fatal motor vehicle accidents and 4.8 million accident victims, according to the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration. The good news is that mortality rates have been dropping over the past ten years, mostly as a result of advancements in medical technology and automobile safety.
Because no one anticipates being involved in a car crash, being unprepared is quite normal. The vast majority of those participating in the process of filing insurance claims do it as their primary source of income. Accident victims are frequently put in the position of having to rely on institutions that may not have their best interests in mind.
Accidents involving motor vehicles can be brought on by a wide variety of factors, including but not limited to excessive speeding, driving under the influence of alcohol, and faulty equipment. The most common type of collision that we encounter in Mississippi is one that was caused by a driver who was distracted by something else. For example, a significant number of our clients have been involved in rear-end collisions, which nearly often result from a combination of excessive speed and a lack of alertness.
