Muldon, MS (July 2, 2020) – Authorities have now released the details concerning a double fatal crash that took place in the area of Muldon on Wednesday morning, July 1st. According to officials, two men from Tennessee were killed in a crash with a tractor-trailer at US 45 Alternate and State Route 25.
Officers with the Mississippi Highway Patrol stated that a pickup truck occupied by Carlos Mendez, 23, and Marvin Mendez, 20, was involved in a collision with an 18-wheeler just southwest of Aberdeen at around 8:45 a.m. Emergency crews arrived at the scene where both victims were pronounced deceased.
Two other passengers in the pickup truck were transported to a nearby hospital with various injuries. MHP officials are working to determine the cause of this incident.
