Moss Point, MS - Patricia Broussard Killed in Two-Car Crash on MS-613

Moss Point, MS (October 6, 2021) - On Monday, October 4, a car accident in the Moss Point area ended in a fatality. 

The incident took place on MS-613 in Jackson County. Local authorities were notified of the collision that afternoon at around 12:05 p.m. Initial sources revealed that 46-year-old Johnathan West Lovejoy of New Albany was headed northbound on the highway in a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado. 

At the same time, 66-year-old Patricia P. Broussard of Kentwood, Louisiana was traveling southbound in a 1969 Chevrolet Nova. The Silverado crossed the centerline, and both vehicles collided head-on. Broussard suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by attending medical personnel. 

A passenger of the Nova, 68-year-old Gerald W. Broussard was critically injured and hospitalized for treatment. An ongoing crash investigation is underway.
