Moss, MS – Wendell Powell Hurt in Head-On Collision on MS-15

Moss, MS (January 4, 2022) – Two people were injured after two cars crashed head-on on Friday afternoon, December 31, near Moss. The accident was reported at around 3 p.m. on MS-15.

It was reported that two pickups collided head-on near a Dollar General. A 2011 Nissan Titan driven by 39-year-old Wendell Powell was headed southbound when he crashed into a 2000 Chevrolet S-10. The driver of the Chevy, 18-year-old Aidan Bigbie, reportedly crossed the centerline.

The impact caused Powell’s truck to leave the road and crash into a tree. Bigbie broke both his legs and an arm and was flown to a local hospital for treatment. Powell was transported by ambulance to a nearby medical facility.

An ongoing investigation into the crash is underway.

Our thoughts are with Wendell Powell, Aidan Bigbie, and their families at this time. We hope for their full recovery.
