Marion Co, MS – Three Dead After Head-On Collision on US-98Mississippi Legal News
Marion Co, MS (September 23, 2021) – A two-car crash in Marion County on Wednesday, September 22, left several people dead and another injured.
The incident occurred at around 7:59 a.m. that morning, according to the Mississippi Highway Patrol. Emergency responders were called to the scene on US-98. Initial reports indicated that a 2012 Dodge Caravan was headed westbound at the time of the impact.
The Dodge crashed head-on with an eastbound 2021 Chevrolet Spark. The driver of the Dodge reportedly crossed the median and entered oncoming traffic leading up to the collision. The driver of the Dodge sustained life-threatening injuries and was hospitalized for treatment.
The driver and two passengers of the Chevrolet suffered fatal injuries in the crash. The identities of the deceased parties have not been provided.
