Marion Co, MS (December 1, 2020) – A pedestrian was killed on Friday, November 27, following a deadly collision in Marion County.
Local sources revealed that the crash occurred on US-98 at around 3:53 a.m. that morning. According to initial reports, a 2005 Dodge Caravan driven by 62-year-old Dimple O. Rushing of Magnolia, Mississippi was traveling eastbound on the highway at the time of the accident. At the same time, 55-year-old Anthony F. Barnes of Columbia, Mississippi was walking alongside the eastbound lane of the roadway.
For unknown reasons, the vehicle struck Barnes. The pedestrian suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. No further information on the crash is available at this time.
