Madison, MS – Multi-Vehicle Collision on I-55

 Madison, MS (November 18, 2019) – Around 6 a.m. this morning, Madison County authorities responded to the scene of a multi-vehicle collision on I-55.

Police responded to the scene of a car accident on the Natchez Trace Parkway. The left southbound lane of traffic was completely blocked due to traffic.

Police claim that the accident took place when multiple vehicles were suddenly involved in a chain-reaction collision for reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles were badly damaged and it took police several hours to clear the scene.

Paramedics assisted one or more parties with injuries. Their conditions are not known at this time.

The investigation of the collision is currently ongoing.
