Auto Accidents in Mississippi
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Mississippi has one of the highest rates of fatal car accidents in the country. As a result, state residents are more likely to be involved in a car accident and sustain serious injuries. Around 22% of Mississippi drivers do not wear seat belts, and statistics show that accident severity is on the rise. Automobile accidents are now the state’s leading cause of serious injury and death.
If you were injured in a Mississippi accident, you have the legal right to file a negligence claim. The person who caused the accident should be held responsible for their actions. In Mississippi, all drivers must exercise reasonable caution and follow the state’s traffic laws. Unfortunately, many drivers in the state have a bad reputation for misbehaving and endangering themselves and others. Failure to drive safely could be considered negligence, and the victim could be entitled to compensation. As a result, you will be compensated for your lost wages. For those unfamiliar with the legal system, filing a personal injury claim can be a long and confusing process, but you don’t have to go it alone.
