Kemper Co, MS – Janan Rush Killed in Head-On Crash on MS-39Mississippi Legal News
Kemper Co, MS (September 9, 2020) – Reports from the Mississippi Highway Patrol revealed that there was a fatal collision in Kemper County on Friday, September 4. The deadly accident took place on MS-39 at around 6:55 a.m.
Local sources revealed that 27-year-old Braxton J. Willie, of Shuqualak, Mississippi was driving a 2018 Jeep Wrangler north on MS-39 at the time of the accident. At the same time, a 2006 Chevrolet passenger vehicle driven by 35-year-old Janan L. Rush, of De Kalb, Mississippi was traveling south on the highway.
For unknown reasons, the Chevrolet veered into the northbound lane, colliding head-on with the Jeep. Willie was transported to a nearby medical facility for the treatment of sustained injuries. Rush suffered fatal injuries in the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene. No further updates on the accident have been reported at this time.
An ongoing investigation into the crash is currently in progress.
