Jefferson Davis Co, MS – Jose Capetillo Dies in Trucking Accident on Williamsburg Rd

Jefferson Davis Co, MS (July 16, 2021) – A Bassfield man was killed in the aftermath of a two-vehicle crash in Jefferson Davis County on Thursday, July 15. 

The incident was reported early that morning at around 10 a.m. Local sources indicated that Jose Capetillo of Bassfield was traveling on N. Williamsburg Road at the time of the deadly accident. It was then that a truck operated by Jerome Graham of Covington County veered into his lane of traffic, causing both vehicles to crash head-on. 

Capetillo suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Graham was taken to Forrest General Hospital for the treatment of sustained injuries. At this time, no further information on the collision has been provided. 

An ongoing investigation into the deadly crash is being managed by local authorities. More details will be provided as the inquiry progresses.
