Jackson, MS (June 12, 2020) – Police have now released the identity of the man who was struck by a car in the city of Jackson on Sunday evening, May 7th. Wyman Taylor, 64, was hit by a vehicle that fled the scene on Hickory Drive at around 5:30 p.m., according to authorities.

Officials stated that Taylor was walking on Hickory Drive near Canary Lane when he was hit by a green Toyota sedan with a white hood. Emergency responders arrived at the scene and transported Taylor to a nearby hospital in critical condition.

On Friday morning, June 12th, Taylor succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. The incident remains under investigation.
