Jackson, MS (July 26, 2022) - Two people were killed following a multi-vehicle crash involving a wrong-way driver in Jackson on Friday, July 22. The fatal crash was reported on Interstate 55.
Local reports revealed that 84-year-old Mable Vince was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of the highway when she crashed head-on with an oncoming vehicle. Vince and the other driver, 43-year-old Cyntra Wilbert, were killed in the accident.
Several other people at the scene were hurt in the collision. A municipal vehicle was also involved in the crash.
An ongoing investigation into the cause of the deadly accident is underway.
