Jackson, MS (August 13, 2021) – An employee with the city of Clinton was left in serious condition after an accident in the Jackson area on Thursday, August 12. 

Local reports revealed that Michael Higgs was operating a tractor while hauling a 12-foot bush hog. He was reportedly cutting the grass along Interstate 20 as he was making a turn. The turn caused the vehicle to overturn. 

Higgs was able to escape the vehicle and sustained significant injury to his hand. At this time, the exact cause of the accident has not been confirmed. No further information has been provided. 

An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
