Jackson, MS – 2 Hospitalized After Car Crash on I-55

Jackson, MS (December 10, 2019) – This afternoon, two people were injured in a car crash that took place on I-55 in Jackson involving two different vehicles.

Officials claim that a Hinds County transport van was pulled over on the left shoulder with hazard lights flashing due to a flat tire near the area of Pearl Street. A vehicle came through the area in the left lane and suddenly struck the van.

The driver of the vehicle said that they darted over into that lane because traffic suddenly stopped in front of them. They never saw the van.

Both drivers of the two vehicles were hospitalized with injuries. They are both expected to be okay.

No other details have been released and police continue their investigation at this time.
