Hattiesburg, MS (November 8, 2021) - At least one person was injured in a car accident in the Hattiesburg area on Sunday afternoon, November 7.
At 1:46 p.m., the accident occurred at the crossing of Interstate 59 and Evelyn Gandy Parkway near Exit 69. All southbound lanes were closed as a result of the collision. Emergency personnel was dispatched to the scene to assist the injured.
The cause of the accident has yet to be determined. While paramedics were on the scene, all southbound lanes were closed for several hours. The injured were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment.
