Gulfport, MS – Three Officers Injured in Pedestrian Crash on I-10Mississippi Legal News
Gulfport, MS (September 11, 2019) – This morning around 8:40 a.m., police officers were injured in a pedestrian crash that took place on I-10 in Gulfport.
According to responding authorities, the officers were hit by a vehicle when they were responding to a previous wreck in the area.
The Gulfport Police Department claimed that the vehicle passing through suddenly ran into a parked police motorcycle, sending the bike and its debris toward the officers. One officer received minor injuries and the other two were seriously injured.
The officers have since been identified as Brian Woods, Benjamin Ford, and Joshua Spengler. One was treated at the scene and the others were transported to the hospital by ambulance.
The investigation into the accident continues at this time.
