Head-On Crashes in Mississippi
Not any car accident has the potential to cause serious victim injuries, and, in many instances, death, studied collision data shows that head-on accidents are exceptionally perilous. The Institute for Highway Safety published that, in 2017, the occupants of vehicles involved in wrong-way accidents had an overall fatality rate of almost 60%.
A front-end or “wrong-way” crash, is a kind of vehicle accident where the front ends of vehicles that are driving in opposite directions collide. In many cases, the cause of a head-on crash is that one of the involved drivers was traveling on the wrong side of the highway. Other common causes of frontal accidents range from drivers who are under the influence to mechanical issues with the car.
