Escatawpa, MS (November 8, 2021) – A man was fatally struck by a motor vehicle in the Escatawpa area on Saturday evening, November 6.
The deadly crash occurred on MS-613 north of the Piggly Wiggly in Jackson County. Local authorities revealed that 52-year-old John Wilson was walking on the highway at around 11 p.m. when he was hit by an oncoming car. The area was closed for several hours while emergency responders were present.
Despite life-saving measures from paramedics, Wilson was pronounced dead at the scene. No information on the driver has been provided at this time.
