Clinton, MS – Trooper Injured in Car Crash on I-20

Clinton, MS (January 8, 2020) – This morning around 5:15 a.m., the Mississippi Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a car crash on I-20.

Initially, police were called to the scene of an accident between an 18-wheeler and sedan. When the trooper was responding to the scene, he was involved in a separate collision with a truck.

Police confirmed that the cruiser and a truck were both traveling westbound when the 18-wheeler suddenly traveled into the path of the patrol vehicle. The patrol vehicle was badly damaged. Luckily, the trooper was hospitalized with only non-life-threatening injuries.

Police claim that the accident remains under investigation at this time.
