Hit-&-Run Accidents in Mississippi
The number of hit-and-run incidents in the United States has reached all-time highs. Over 737,100 hit-and-run occurrences were registered across the country in 2015. This means that one happened every 43 seconds on average. In 2016, there were 2,149 confirmed hit-and-run deaths, the greatest number ever recorded.
Pedestrians, unlike those in passenger automobiles, have little protection from the full impact of a collision, and the injuries that ensue can be life-altering. Many drivers fail to surrender the right of way and share the road with pedestrians, resulting in devastating collisions. After being hit by an irresponsible motorist, a lawyer can assist you in recovering financial compensation for your injuries.
Few individuals anticipate being badly hurt in a pedestrian accident, yet thousands of pedestrians are injured each year across the state and require assistance in obtaining legal compensation for their losses. Many people who have been hurt in an accident are confused about how to seek compensation for their injuries, which can complicate the process of filing a personal injury claim.
